Dr. Samir Hazra, MD, FRCPC

Cardiologist

Dr. Hazra completed his B.Sc. Biochemistry (Honours) from the University of Ottawa in 2004 followed by a Doctorate in Medicine from the same institution in 2008. He then went on to complete residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto (completed in June 2011) followed by subspecialty training in Cardiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (completed in June 2014). Following this, he completed sequential fellowships in advanced adult echocardiography (completed in June 2015) and multimodality cardiac imaging (nuclear cardiology and cardiac computed tomography; completed in June 2016) both at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

Dr. Hazra is a licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (June 2010) and holds specialist certificates from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine (June 2012) and Cardiology (October 2014). He has been a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada since July 2012. In addition, Dr. Hazra is a Diplomate of the American Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology (January 2016).

Dr. Hazra maintains active privileges at the Montfort Hospital.
